“The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you.” (John 6:52-53)
Jesus knew of the crowd's doubts but did not back down or offer explanations. He began with “Amen, amen,” signaling the importance of His words and that we are to pay close attention. Lord, thank you for the Eucharist—Your Body and Blood, the source of life within us. Amen
