“The Lord hears the cry of the poor.” (Psalm 34:2-3, 6-7, 17-18, 19 and 23) 

Lord God, in this season of Advent teach us to open our ears to the cry of the poor. We are so bombarded with the siren of consumerism that we often miss the cry for help from our brothers and sisters in need. Grant our family a charitable heart, O God. Amen.
