Preserve Families: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

A historian cites the decline of the dignity and sanctity of the home, and the decay of religion as two reasons for the disintegration of the Roman Empire. What can we learn?

In Chapter 13 of the Book of Wisdom, we are warned about worshiping things and creatures … instead of the one who created them! Those who were not seeking God were destroyed - not because they were evil necessarily but because they didn’t seek God.

Jesus provides a guideline for the preservation of life, the family and society as a whole. Jesus tells his disciples not to get overly concerned about worldly things but to live as people of faith.

The message is clear. We are called to help strengthen the family fabric to guarantee a hope-filled future for our families and society. How are you and your family doing this today? Do you have any ideas that could help other families? If so, please share them … a lot depends on our success.

I pray we will all work together and support each other to preserve the integrity of the family.

“The family that prays together stays together.”
