Ready to Forgive: Family Reflection Video

Ready to Forgive: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Seasonal Reflections

Forgiveness lies inside repentance.

God created humans and loves us immensely, even though we often mess up and fail Him. We continue to fall and fall short of God’s grace, but God is waiting to forgive us, provided we repent.

Judas and Peter both betray Jesus in today’s gospel. However, their betrayals were different. Judas was calculating to sell out Jesus to his enemies and allowed Satan to lead his actions. Peter fell in moments of weakness, but when he looked into the eyes of the Lord, he repented for what he had done to his friend.

Are we like Judas or Peter? Do we stand by Jesus when times are hard? Are we truly sorry for when we do the wrong thing?

The Lord loves us and is ready to forgive, let us be the best example we can of God’s love and forgiveness in the world!
