Jesus said “Remain in my love … so that my joy might be in you and your joy may be complete.”
A pastor noticed a shabby-looking man stop into the church each day, and worried the man was a thief, asked him what he was doing there. The man said he wasn’t sure how to pray, so he stopped in every day to say thank you to his friend, God, for the happiness and many blessings in his life. The man was learning to live in God’s love.
In most families, we find at least one person who helps others remain in love. This person may push and scold, but in the bad times, they comfort and care for us. They want this love to be passed on to the other family members and neighbors. Jesus invites us to live in this love today.
How do we want to respond to Jesus?
Lord, our families pray in your name. Bring us closer and let us know your peace.
