Sacrifice for Christ’s Sake: Family Reflection Video

Sacrifice for Christ’s Sake: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Return to the Church

Remain faithful to the Savior and His little flock.

We recently heard about the rich man who walked away from a relationship with Jesus because he was too preoccupied with his possessions. To this man Jesus said, “few can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Today Peter questions Jesus about this statement, concerned for himself and fellow disciples. But Jesus assures us that if we choose Him and make sacrifices for His Kingdom, our reward will be great. We will receive: the presence of Christ, the companionship of saints, the benefit of contentment, and the possession of eternal life. This is the abundance of God.

Do you look toward your possessions for comfort or distraction rather than looking toward God? Think of ways you can help your family seek Christ first so you can all inherit eternal happiness.
