On today's Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Father Phalen reflects on how we are called to pray intimately to God. Not simply to speak at Him, but to share our hearts with Him and listen intently for His response. This sharing leads to a radiant joy.
There are times when sharing with God is difficult. Either we are ashamed of our own actions, or we are deeply affected by things going on around us. God calls us all the same. If we can endure and share what's in our hearts with God, we will encounter Him all the more fully.
