The Be Happy Attitudes: Family Reflection Video

Holy lives of inspiration  |  Seasonal Reflections

Are we living a life of commitment or convenience?

Happiness has a different meaning for everyone. The path to happiness shown to us by the saints we celebrate on All Saints Day today is found in following God. These men and women had a vision of God, a relationship with God, and sought God’s Kingdom.

We hear in today’s gospel, the beatitudes; ways for living that help us practice tight attitudes and focus on ultimate happiness. The mourners are those who mourn their spiritual emptiness with an attitude of repentance. We need help to see beyond our present life, so that we may live in the most meaningful way.

What attitudes do you hold toward God’s plan for your life? Does your family have a favorite saint?

Help us, Lord, to be poor in spirit, meek, and humble, so that we may depend on you and find strength in weakness and power in vulnerability.
