The Bird Box Challenge: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

What is going on?

A recent internet “challenge” has people stepping into the street, riding bikes, and going through glass windows because they are blindfolded. These people are copying characters from Bird Box; the Netflix film about a post-apocalyptic world where one look at the monsters outside leads to death. The characters must walk around blindfolded, and since this film broke Netflix viewing history, with 45 million views in the first week, the consequences of this trend are getting dangerous.

I am a big fan of the digital continent because the same platforms where these crazy “challenges” can be found can also be used for good. Family Rosary’s site has over 1 million Facebook followers, where prayers, homilies, and inspiration can be found. When these media are used to bring the Good news around the world, we are no longer blindfolded with lies, but are able to see the truth.

What do your actions tell others? What example do you set digitally and physically?

Lord, let us be instruments of good in spreading your message across the world for many to see and inspire. Amen.
