The Carriers of God’s Peace: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

How can we be unprepared, but ready?

Jesus foresees not only the “harvest,” but also the challenges awaiting. So he says, “I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” What an image! They are to go totally unprepared. Like vulnerable sheep, wandering into the woods, unarmed, and unaware of hidden danger.

Perhaps, we can consider family as part of a potential “harvest” to which God continues to call and send two-by-two to establish His kingdom through a committed relationship. As warned by Jesus, we may face vulnerable situations. We may face evil forces around us like the wolves, trying to kill the spirit of the family, destroying peace and harmony. But the potential for harvest is big!
