The Core of God is Love: Family Reflection Video

The Core of God is Love: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Healing the family

“I only love God as much as the person I love the least”

I know of two brothers who lived next door to each other for years and did not speak to each other. No one knows what the fight was about, but they both died having never made up with each other.

It is sad there are many families divided by hate, but Jesus reminds all families they are too precious and beautiful to be scarred and wounded by hate. When he speaks of being “perfect” in today’s Gospel, perfect here refers not to being without scars or imperfections, but to being mature and fulfilling one’s purpose. Once we are selfless and mature, we cannot refuse love to anybody.

Are there any family members that need your love and forgiveness? What are you willing to do about it?

Today, let us pray for conflict resolution in families, that they may come back together in love and spirituality.
