The Feast of the Visitation: Family Reflection Video

Holy lives of inspiration

Those who are on fire cannot sit on a chair.

All Mary did was prompted by her commitment to God’s Word in her life. She was burning with the Holy Spirit when she went to visit Elizabeth, unable to sit at home and wait.

Being blessed is both the greatest joy and greatest task, making Mary the new Ark of the Covenant. However, instead of chiseled stone tablets, Mary carries the Living Word of God. Being the first person to ever bring the Word of God to another, Mary ignites this joy in those she greets and all of us as well.

How can we inspire others to leap with the Holy Spirit? Do we do our best to bring joy to others when we visit?

Praying today that like the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may be filled with the Holy Spirit and inspire it in others. Amen.
