The Key: Family Reflection Video

Return to the Church

Jesus gives us the answer to knowing him as the Christ.

The disciples on the road to Emmaus had all the information before them, but could not put the puzzle pieces together. They heard the story of the risen Lord, the angels proclaiming life, witnesses at the empty tomb, and now the stranger on the road. However, they do not see Jesus until he breaks the bread: the Eucharist is the key to the puzzle.

Jesus is with us in good times and bad. His presence is the key in our lives to understand the scope of our situation. Saint Augustine wrote to Jesus saying, “You were with me, but I was not with You.” Do we talk to Jesus, seeing him there in our lives? Do we invite him in?

Lord, let our family turn to you when we seek peace in the world around us. Let our family pray together. The family that prays together stays together.
