The Need to Be Fully Connected: Family Reflection Video

The Need to Be Fully Connected: Family Reflection Video

Learn more about our faith  |  Why pray?

Sometimes it takes a storm to realize how blessed we are to have such a loving God.

Yesterday, all of New England awoke and was greeted by another nor’easter. As we prepared for the harshness and bitterness that was to come there was one question on the minds of us all: will the power stay on? This simple question transformed into a prayer to God as the power flickered on and off throughout the day. Our relationship with God can, at times, be just like our reliance upon electricity. We need it, but we can find ourselves taking it for granted until something changes for the worse. It is then we realize how totally dependent we are upon God.

Are there times that you find yourself or others being less appreciative of God’s grace? How are you reminded of your dependence upon God?

None of us know just exactly when the power will go out when these types of storms hit, but one thing we do know is that with the grace of God and our will, we are never without hope. We are connected to one who never forgets, always hears, and guides us through the greatest storms of our lives. May God bless you all!
