The Parable of the Thriving Ground: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Healing the family

How can we work it out when the ground is tough?

Diving deeper into today’s parable, I figured the sower who is so careful in selecting the right seeds, processing it, and sowing them with the same hope on all grounds, must be the Divine Sower of the Word. He makes no evaluation of the qualities or potentials of the grounds. No ground is undeserving and left unsown. We are all deserving.

So often, we let ourselves be influenced by the external pressures of the world; allowing our ground to be scorched, withered, and eroded. The seeds we are given then become the same way. If we allow our hearts to be guided by God, then our grounds will be fruitful.

What more should wo do to make our grounds thriving?

Open our hearts, Lord, help us to be prepared for the seeds you sow in us!
