We look for the easiest way, but not always the right one…
A king had a boulder put in the middle of a main road to see if anyone would bother to move it. He watched from afar as many people walked around it, blamed the king for not maintaining the roads, or took a different path. It was not until a poor peasant with his vegetable cart came along and moved the stone that the king was impressed. He left gold coins for the peasant as a reward for moving the bolder.
Christ often stands before us, but we do not see him as the treasure. We get too overwhelmed by the boulders of fear, confusion, and anxiety to notice the purpose of his presence. Lord, help us to truly see you.
How does Easter season make a difference in our lives? How can we invite Christ to us, even in our challenging times?
Lord, our family welcomes you to our table. We ask that you bless our family, amen!
