To Dance Before the Lord: Family Reflection Video

Holy lives of inspiration

Do you come from a family that likes to dance?

What we’re reminded of by King David’s actions in today’s first reading is that being in God’s presence evokes a sense of joy that is meant to be expressed! In some settings that literally is dance. In others, it might be a beaming smile, words of praise, a hymn, and works of mercy and spiritual aid.

Jesus comes into our lives to give us the heart of God … to move us like a great song that gets us tapping our toes or singing in the car. Jesus has come to stir the flame within our hearts: for God, for our families, and for all those who come into our lives … and to do so with joy.

Think of your favorite song that makes you want to get up move. Ask your family members too. Explain to your family that’s the kind of joy King David felt about being in the presence of God! We are called to share in this same joy-filled worship of the Lord!

May you feel so much joy of God in your heart today that you just have to express it somehow! God bless you all.
