Strengthening family unity

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, how can we find hope during these troubled times? We need to remember the impossible is possible through faith in God’s mercy. With the mercy of God, goodness can flow abundantly.

We see this happening in the first reading today. When the king threatened to throw the three young men into the white-hot furnace, if they did not worship his gods, they were not afraid.  They had confidence that their God would save them. When the king saw them dancing in the flames, unharmed, he ordered them released and freed them to worship their God.

In the Gospel, Jesus assures the Jews who believed in Him that they would know the truth and the truth would make them free.

Today if you are discouraged, God is inviting you to see the sunny side of whatever is happening in your life.  He is inviting you to lock in love, truth, hope, happiness, relationships, prayer, family time, and joy in your life, in your families, by trusting God to bring you through this troubled time.

What is it that you want to unlock for your family today?
