Visiting a Friend: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?

This is the work of God, that you believe in the One He sent.

I read today about churches in Bavaria; that they are places of highly-esteemed worship. An author in prayer observed the many others who went in and out of the church, each one with purpose. Not to drop in, or because it was a convenient place to get out of the wind; they all came to see the Lord as one would visit a friend. They came with intention and brought their whole selves to the church.

God offers us friendship and with friendship you do not compromise; you enter into it fully. If we believe God is a friend to us, how do we make our visits special? What do you see God as to you?

Lord, we humbly pray to be friends to you as you are to us all the days of our lives.
