We Must Obey God Rather Than Men: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Holy lives of inspiration

We can learn from the showdown between the High Priest and the Apostles in today’s readings.

The same Apostles who failed many times to stand with Jesus show the courage of their convictions in today’s first reading. “We must obey God rather than men,” was their courageous proclamation. Aware of the consequences of this stance, the Apostles were able to go beyond their fear because of love.

Just like the Apostles, we are called to be real witnesses of faith, to bravely and in love speak the truth. With your family, pray that the Holy Spirit strengthen your promise to live God’s message.

You may be wrestling with family, work or friendship situations where you are being challenged to witness to your faith in God. Take this opportunity to reflect and grow in faith, hope and love so that we may be like our forefathers who were transformed by the life and presence of Jesus Christ.

God bless you and your family.
