Weakness to Grace: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Holy lives of inspiration

How could you or I ever find the courage to become a saint, we who are so weak?

Even when he was imprisoned, Maximilian Kolbe continued his vocation: praying, caring for, and hearing confessions from fellow prisoners. He believed and taught that our weaknesses, though a burden to us, allow us to receive the care of Our Blessed Mother. He said “even the weakest … can be rescued by her.”

In today’s world, if the most vulnerable among us, such as a pet or a child, goes missing, we all help in looking for the lost. We seek to help others as Mother Mary helps us, bridging the gap between our doubts and God’s healing power.

What do we view as holding us back from doing great deeds? Do we celebrate when what was lost is found?

Let us follow the “light in the darkness,” lit by those who lived in Christ before us.
