Why pray?  |  Healing the family

"What can separate us from the love of Christ?" Nothing should, but lots of things do.

When we meet with tragedies like the one that happened to my friend's family, it is difficult to think of a benevolent God. When, tragedies like this strike, even good and faithful people find it difficult to forgive God for failing to protect them. St. Paul answers, nothing –not even death– can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sometimes in life, there are no apparent reasons or answers to the “why?” God’s love and mercy will be seen and felt in the hearts of the people surrounding you. Only God knows why ... but we are here for you in our thoughts and in our prayers.

Friends, today let us pray for those individuals and families that are grieving due to the loss of a dear one. May they find consolation and peace. May God help them find an answer to their question, “why” and find assurance in “what for” instead.
