What Paralyzes Us on Our Way to Holiness? Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor  |  Strengthening family unity

Would you help the scorpion as you would help a friend?

A man saw a scorpion floundering in the water. He tried to help it, but it stung him. He tried again, but was stung again. He knew it was the nature of the scorpion to sting, but it was his own nature to help and give love, no matter the nature of the one in front of him.

The nature of Jesus is to love. Though he is questioned by the crowd today, he heals the paralyzed man. He stays true to his mission, which is to liberate us from what holds us back from being closer to God.

What paralyzes our growth toward holiness? What hurts the unity of our family?

Lord, the paralyzed man was helped by his friends today. We pray that we bring our friends closer to God, so that we may grow together in our path to holiness.
