Every day, we all answer questions. Some we can answer quickly and easily without too much thought. Others require careful reflection. Routine questions fill our daily lives. For example, "What should I wear today?"; "What shall we eat tonight?”; and “What are you watching on TV?" These are questions that have no long-term importance. Some questions in life cannot be answered: “Why do men refuse to ask for directions?"; “Why do women open their mouths when putting on eye makeup?” These are questions that not really significant.

Several years ago, a hunter acquired an unusual hunting dog. It was the only dog of its kind that was capable of walking on water. To show off his prized possession, he invited a friend to go hunting with him. Eventually, they shot a few ducks, which fell into the river. He ordered his dog to fetch the birds. When the dog ran on water to fetch the birds, he expected a compliment about his amazing dog, but did not receive one.

How can a teenager lift a 3,000-pound tractor with his bare hands? Especially a teenager who is not a weightlifter? A while ago, on a farm near Rome, Maine, teenage Arthur Hinkley sprang into action when he heard his friend Lloyd Bachelder scream from under such a tractor, and somehow, he lifted the tractor enough for Lloyd to wriggle out. According to Calvin Miller, who published the story, love motivated and enabled Arthur to do the unthinkable to free his friend.

"They laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged (Jesus) that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak, and as many as touched it were healed." – Mark 6:56 A friend posted on Facebook that he was admitted to the hospital. Almost instantaneously, his post was followed by a long thread of sad-face emojis and promised prayers for healing. He acknowledged these messages sent by his friends by clicking "Like" on every well-meaning message. Later, he confided he felt sad that despite the long thread of messages, only a handful, maybe two or three, took the time or effort to call or drop by the hospital.

John's whole life revolved around the coming of the Messiah. Aware of his mission, he preached truth and repentance in preparation for the Messiah. But did he expect that imprisonment would bring an abrupt end to his public ministry? What did he think about being locked away in a dungeon without anyone to preach or baptize?
