“I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land! … Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.” – Dr. Martin Luther King
Like Dr. King, Jesus continuously assures through his words that there is a place for each one of us in his Father’s House. Our journeys to Him may vary but rest assured, there is room for everyone.
We are numbered among those who came to believe through the preaching of Paul and the apostles. Their purpose was to draw all people into the love that unites Jesus and God. Even while the apostles were scorned and shamed spreading the Good News, Jesus gladdened them, “Take courage. It is I. Do not be afraid.”
As you and your family pray today, consider offering a special prayer for those you believe to have been instruments in bringing you to belief in Christ and also those you hope to bring to Him.
