Can't Take My Eyes Off of You: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Celebrating family life

God is watching us all with His love, even when we aren’t looking.

We hear many times today that from heaven, God looks down and sees all of us. An Irish song I’ve heard speaks of the eyes smiling as a part of the love inside one’s heart. In this same way, His eyes are upon us today and convey His love for us.

I read a beautiful meditation by Sherry Boas in The Catholic Mom’s Prayer Companion where she speaks of catching herself looking at her children when they are unaware. The marvel of how miraculous they are. God’s awe-inspiring creation. Her children. God looks at us this same way. Yes, He can do anything, she adds, but “he can’t take his eyes off of us.”

What fills you with love when you look at it?

May our eyes convey the love we hold and share it with the world.
