Cast Off Your Demons! Family Reflection Video

What is truth?

A student once asked for my advice on an assignment where the question was: what is truth? I attempted an answer, but the question is still with me today. Truth is believing God and the Spirit have good intentions for us and help us to fight our demons. The demons that make ourselves feel less than who we are in the sight of God.

We have the power within us to cast out demons and the amazing thing is that many of us are unaware of this power. Those who do not know the Spirit will turn to the world to address their ills. It ought not to be like that for us who possess the Spirit of Truth.

Do we pursue our truth? What do we think truth is? Where do we see the Spirit in our lives?

Let us pray that the truth prevails, coming to light to bless those who need it.

Father Leo Polselli, C.S.C. is Chaplain at the Father Peyton Center in Easton, MA. Before coming to Holy Cross Family Ministries he served as a teacher and a parish priest. He also served for six years as a General Assistant of the Congregation in Rome, Italy. Originally from Fall River, MA, Father Leo grew up with eight siblings. Gifted with several languages, he is able to serve the Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian communities.
