Christ’s Friendship and Love: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity  |  Celebrating family life

A few things I saw in the news this week really spoke to me about friendship.

I recently saw a few items in the news and stories that made me think of friendship as Jesus describes it today. The first one was about a man with Down Syndrome who died this week. He married his sweetheart, who also had Down Syndrome, back during a time when they needed all kinds of special clearances to be together. They stayed committed to each other and made a beautiful life for themselves.

The second story is about a blind boy who was dropped off to play with other children, but felt alone among the other kids. When his father came to pick him up, he ran at the sound of his father voice into his arms. These friendships are rooted in love –the love Jesus speaks of today when he tells us we are friends to Him.

How are you a committed friend? A dedicated family member?

God bless our friends and families today!
