Who is Jesus to you?
Watch the homily video on our Facebook page.
After reading the gospel today and hearing Jesus ask his followers who do people say he is, I went over to the new Museum of Family Prayer that we just dedicated to see what some of the visitors were saying about their connection with Jesus. It was inspirational. If I were to summarize what I read, whether young or old they said that Jesus was someone who they could confide in and someone they could share their deepest concerns and fears with and be assured that all would be well.
It is said that more people will come to know Jesus, not through words that attempt to explain his life and mission, but through the actions of men and women, who, having heard the word of God, are now acting on it and performing works of mercy. May those doing as much come to know that what they are doing to the least of His people, they are doing to him.
Lord, we pray for those doing You work, let their compassion and goodness spread to the hearts of many!
