Do We Think as Jesus Thinks? Family Reflection Video

Human thinking is helpful, but it’s limited.

God said He has written a love letter upon our hearts containing guidance that will lead to our salvation. Does human thinking help us believe this? That God is searching for us and wants to establish a relationship?

We hear Jesus rebuke Peter in today’s Gospel, “Peter you are thinking like a human being thinks not as God does.” Even Peter struggled with human thought and was imprisoned by it.

But there is hope. We can break free and transition to acting and thinking the way Jesus does! We can work to think less as humans in our quest to know and follow Jesus.

Learn more about Edith Stein, a great example of thinking as Jesus does with her gentle words, “Come, we are going for our people.”

Father Leo Polselli, C.S.C. is Chaplain at the Father Peyton Center in Easton, MA. Before coming to Holy Cross Family Ministries he served as a teacher and a parish priest. He also served for six years as a General Assistant of the Congregation in Rome, Italy. Originally from Fall River, MA, Father Leo grew up with eight siblings. Gifted with several languages, he is able to serve the Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian communities.
