Family Reflection Video: A Disciple

Family Reflection Video: A Disciple's Job Description

service  |  family  |  disciple

Think you have what it takes for the job? What skills, talents and qualities does it require? At the Last Supper, Jesus gives us a simple job description of a disciple.

As God's Masterpiece, the family is the first and most important place for disciples to live humbly, forgiving all and welcoming Jesus in the home through prayer and sincere love.

Have you ever thought about yourself as a disciple? Ask members of your family too then review the important tasks I talked about that Jesus said were requirements of the job. If you were called into a job performance review, in what areas are you meeting the requirements and what areas need improvement?

I keep your family and all families around the world in my daily prayer. I leave you today with this simple prayer you can share with your family.

Lord,

help us to be humble in serving others,

be always hungry to forgive

and reconcile with others,

and be smart in enriching all personal relationships

with the presence of your Son, Jesus.

Amen.
