Family Reflection Video: Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

Are we sometimes foolish when it comes to caring for God’s creation?

Committing to our vocation to protect God’s handiwork is essential to who we are as Christians. We must keep our passion to protect and respect the marvelous works that God has entrusted to our care.

Don’t let your family’s passion evaporate! Pope Francis declared September 1 to be a World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation … I encourage you to participate! Pray together A Prayer for Our Earth or do your small part as a family to protect God’s creation.

I pray we all take responsible actions to care for our planet. May God continue to abundantly bless each of you.

Father Leo Polselli, C.S.C. is Chaplain at the Father Peyton Center in Easton, MA. Before coming to Holy Cross Family Ministries he served as a teacher and a parish priest. He also served for six years as a General Assistant of the Congregation in Rome, Italy. Originally from Fall River, MA, Father Leo grew up with eight siblings. Gifted with several languages, he is able to serve the Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian communities. When he's not greeting everyone who comes to the Father Peyton Center, you can find him regularly reading newspapers!
