Family Reflection Video: Divide and Conquer

Family Reflection Video: Divide and Conquer

faithfulness  |  family

Does your family gather or scatter when times get tough?

In times of trial and threat, we all share a common instinct – we blame, attack, break up and disperse. But division weakens us. Evil loves nothing more than a divided heart.

A wise piece of advice found in Ephesians 4:26 is “Never let the sun go down on your anger.” Restore harmony before ending the day. How can you do this? Invite the strongest force for good and unity into your home by praying together. Talk with your family about the spiritual strength of family prayer. Can you think of examples when a family divided was weaker than family united?

The family that prays together is united against evil and is at peace. Remember Father Peyton’s famous message, “the family that prays together stays together.” God bless you and your family.
