Family Reflection Video: Eagerly Awaiting

Family Reflection Video: Eagerly Awaiting

faithfulness  |  joyful

The news of a pregnancy is exciting and creates dreams of what might become of the newborn child. There was a similar joy with the announcement of the birth of Jesus; a child who would bring wisdom, understanding, and strength.

Just like a gathering at the dinner table encourages families to draw closer and learn new things about each other, every Advent presents us with new opportunities to renew our commitment to the Scriptures, tradition and allow wisdom to open our eyes and ears to new possibilities.

It’s within the anticipation of this joyful season, just like our hopes for a newborn baby, we seek to usher in a time of peace, serenity, people caring for one another, and justice for all.

Gather with your family tonight and talk about the excitement of expecting a new child! Has your family ever waited for the arrival of a new baby? Did the anticipation of a new life bring a newfound peace? How does this relate to the season of Advent?

Have a blessed day. My prayers are with you and your family!
