Family Reflection Video: Food, Glorious Food

family  |  children  |  food

The Lord provides us with food in more ways than we think.

The children wishing for meat over the manna in the desert sound as though they dream of the same thing as the children in the musical Oliver: food! Scripture reminds us that we cannot live on bread alone, but on the words that come from the mouth of God.

Father Peyton’s famous saying, “the family that prays together stays together,” is a quote we love at Holy Cross Family Ministries. Recent research showed that young Catholic families eat dinner together often enough that we might say, “the family that eats together stays together” too!

How does eating together bring us closer to one another? How does sharing food from God bring us closer together?

Today I pray you are filled with the glorious food God provides for us.
