Family Reflection Video: God Alone Tests the Human Heart

Family Reflection Video: God Alone Tests the Human Heart

Have you ever stood idly by or walked quickly past a troubling situation that made you wonder who was going to step in to help?

Most people believe they’ll feel fulfilled with more and more wealth. They strive to obtain a bigger car or house, but are left feeling dissatisfied. That discontent, that God-sized hole in your heart, can only by filled by Christ.

Our tortuous, complex hearts help us find true fulfillment in Christ … in our neighbors, family members, and strangers we pass on the street. Discuss with your family where you find true fulfillment in your daily life. Do you think you’d feel more fulfilled if you became the person that steps in and helps someone in need?

Let’s close our time together in prayer:

Lord, give us tortuous hearts,

hearts that will stir up passion within you

to acknowledge the less fortunate among us.

May our hearts open to you, our God,

allowing you to examine our minds

and test our hearts.

Amen.
