Family Reflection Video: God Gives, We Take Away

Family Reflection Video: God Gives, We Take Away

faithfulness  |  Mysteries

Most of our encounters with God are mere whispers … are you listening?

Today Jesus reminds us that those who have, will be given more … and those who have not, even the little they have will be taken away. That might sound unfair, but Jesus is not speaking of material possessions.

Jesus was talking about the gift of faith possessed by believers who opened their minds, hearts and ears to the Word of God. Their faith and understanding will continue to grow! Otherwise, if good ground is not prepared for God to plant the seeds, even the little faith and understanding that was once had will diminish.

Not all experiences of God are full of fire and smoke, for most of us, they are more of a subtle whisper. Today let us reflect on whether our minds and hearts are open … and whether we are truly listening for that subtle whisper. Is God trying to tell you something through someone or something, as he did with Moses at Mount Sinai?

Blessings on you and your family today! I pray that your heart may open so you can hear and nurture Gods Word!
