Imagine leaving behind your job, family and everything you’ve worked for to follow Jesus. Would you lay down your life for the sake of the gospel?
Christ’s call is something that each one of us receives and if we choose to respond, it will change us. What happened to the 12 apostles in today’s gospel, Mark 3:13-19, continues to happen in our own lives … you just have to be open to hearing Jesus’ invitation.
Talk with your family tonight about hearing Jesus’ call. What is He asking of you individually and as a family unit? Will you leave all material things behind and choose to follow Him?
When Christ’s call strikes a chord with us, it’s an invitation to play our part in God’s new world symphony. I pray that you and your family accept the invitation and become a harmonious instrument in His plans. God bless.
