Imagine God telling you at the age of 100 your wife was going to have a baby! Abraham laughed at God and might have been thinking, “OK God, tell me another one!”
Our faith can be about serious matters … like when we ask God for forgiveness or when we pray for someone who needs help or guidance. But we don’t always need to make things so complicated.
Keep it human. It’s OK to laugh to ourselves when we are interacting with God. Allow God to be God but also allow self to be the self that God created. Sometimes it’s OK to be brief, direct and to the point.
Can you think of a time when you were so friendly with God, that you just starting laughing inside during your prayers about something going on in your life? Ask your family members too. They might have also experienced this and you might end up laughing about it yourselves!
Thank you for joining us. I pray you will smile and laugh a bit today. God bless!
