Family Reflection Video: Living Water Flowed from Christ

Learn more about our faith  |  Lent

In the Bible, especially during the season of Lent, we hear many stories about Living Water, a powerful gift that quenches thirst, refreshes souls, and renews faith.

Water is an important symbol for the Church. It’s found in many biblical stories and is used in many traditions and sacraments. It is our salvation, the Holy Spirit and the Life and Light of the world that dwells within us.

With your family, think about how and why many Catholic sacraments involve water? Also discuss why Jesus uses water so often in his teachings and parables? For further insight, read a few stories where the symbol of water comes to life!

We are encouraged to join the chorus of voices who have preceded us in the faith, who asked, “Lord, give me this water so I may never thirst.” May you and your family find healing in Living Water.
