Family Reflection Video: One Need Not See to Believe

faithfulness

With two weeks left before Christmas, a lot of talk revolves around gift giving and receiving. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the less important rituals of the season and forget to unwrap the most precious gift … God’s bambino.

In today’s Gospel reading we hear about two brothers as their faith is tested. One refuses to renew his commitment to Christ, but the other eventually returns. Both had been given the gift of faith, but one kept his in a box tightly wrapped. Is your faith wrapped up?

As we learn in the Gospel, not all seeing is believing. Belief is a gift, waiting to be unwrapped. When you’re with your family tonight reflect on the significance of gift exchange. How can you and your family share your faith and the many blessings you’ve received from God with others?

Thank you for listening. May you and your family continue to spread God’s gifts.
