Family Reflection Video: The Power of their Witness

Family Reflection Video: The Power of their Witness

inspiration  |  saints  |  strength and hope

Many of our brothers and sisters around the world who profess belief in Jesus and the Catholic Church have been denounced and killed because of their faith. We may never find ourselves in such a situation but learning about their stories can strengthen our own faith.

So we say to those who have died or are willing to endure suffering for the faith, thank you, and thank you for your witness. You strengthen our endurance and perseverance and weakens the fear that can sometimes unsettle us.

We may ask ourselves if we could do this and many of us would say no. Not because we don’t believe but because of the consequences. Have you even been in a situation where it was unpopular to stand up for your faith? Have you ever had to make a decision based on your beliefs that didn’t go with the crowd? What did that feel like? Think about it then talk about it with your family. Maybe they have their own stories to share.

May you and your family always be inspirational witnesses of our faith. God bless you.
