Anger seems to surface a lot lately. It quickly becomes dense and clouds our hearts.
We all get angry for different reasons: traffic, family members, friends, government, political leaders, religious leaders … the list goes on and on. Many dwell on their anger, letting it simmer and burn inside them. But Jesus calls us to dilute our anger with forgiveness.
Forgiveness softens a heart made hard by anger; it opens the mind to see other possibilities. Forgiveness is so important. Take time to reflect with your family about who or what you need to forgive. And then encourage your loved ones to turn to Reconciliation for their own forgiveness with God.
Ask Jesus to help us let go of yesterday’s hurts so that we are able to face today’s challenges and enjoy the day’s blessings.
