God is With Them: Family Reflection Video

God is With Them: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Across the globe, refugees and migrants are crossing into countries that don’t want them.

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis is preaching a message of acceptance and tolerance, reminding us that Jesus gave his life for the ransom of many, not just a certain few. Every people and culture we engage with brings to fulfillment the unity of all humanity. If we look within the heart of people of different cultures, we will discover that they too are restless for God.

Was it the intent of Jesus that all would be one? Is the Holy Spirit guiding our steps? Discuss with your family how diverse cultures and people that are different from you bring richness to your lives, your Christian faith and the world. Can you share any examples with one another?

After talking about this with your family, I encourage you to pray together. You might want to use this beautiful prayer from the Catholic Relief Services, To Reach Across Borders.
