God Our Help in Ages Past: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Who comes to the defense of the innocent?

In the musical play Oliver! a little orphan boy is so hungry, he does the unthinkable and asks for more food. He is then thrown out of the orphanage to fend for himself on the streets. There is no one to help this poor little boy except himself.

Today, the hungry disciples follow Jesus through a field and pick some grain. They get into trouble when the religious leaders see them, but Jesus stands up for his followers and does not let them get into trouble alone. God is always on our side to help us, whether our troubles are big or small, and will defend us against those who try to bring us down.

Do you stand up for those who need you?
