For God So Loved Our World: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor  |  Healing the family

An answer for a question so many of us ask…

This past Sunday, all the Catholic Churches in Sri Lanka were closed following the bombings that took place on Easter. The Cardinal of the country held a televised mass, so people could pray in their homes. His homily asked what many of them were feeling: had God forgotten them?

This feeling can be found anywhere there are human problems, but today’s gospel has an answer for us. We hear that God so loved the world, that he sent his only Son. Not to condemn, judge, or punish us, but for Jesus to dispel the darkness that covered our world. And although he is the Light of the World, some people still prefer the dark.

Do you live in the light or the dark? How do your words and actions reflect this?

Lord, we pray for those in the dark. Bring them to the light so they may know you through Christ.
