God Welcomes Us with Outstretched Arms: Family Reflection Video

Holy lives of inspiration

If we make room for God in our lives, He does something even greater for us!

At the temple we read today how Simeon welcomed the Holy Family with open and outstretched arms. That image of him, so excited and ready to embrace the Holy Family depicts that as we make room for God in our lives, God always makes room for us.

God shared a part of himself with us when Jesus was born. This action alone shows He has an abundance of love for each of us. With your family decide on one way you can show others God has room for everyone. Will you donate canned goods or extra toys lying around? Hand out blankets and gloves to those in need? Invite a friend to mass?

The light of Christ has come into our world and we are called to welcome that light into our lives. Rejoice knowing that all the while we have been seeking God, God was seeking and found us.
