God's Law is Written in Our Hearts: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor

Jesus expands on the ten commandments.

Moses says to his people that they must uphold the law of the Lord and never forget it’s teachings. This way, laws become living things that evolve with the society that they regulate. Jesus knew the commandments, and without changing a single thing, he expands upon their meaning so that they became a living document.

Jesus gave people something to hope in, a vision, a dream through his call to repentance. He recasts the importance of love of God and neighbor as the keys to living alongside others.

Dreams can become reality when all we do comes from love of God and our neighbors. Lord, fill our hearts with this love! Amen.
