Jesus Invites us to be Born Again: Family Reflection Video

Return to the Church  |  Seasonal Reflections

When we hear talk of being “born again,” it can often be confusing.

Being born again is a marvelous transformation, full of enlightenment and grace. It means coming to understand Jesus in a way you never knew was possible. This renewed love and deeper communion with Jesus enables us to become more loving, kind, patient, forgiving, and hopeful … being born again.

As we have witnessed during these Easter days, the secret and grace of Christianity is that the merciful Christ meets us in the very midst of our failures and fears. He says to us today what he said to his disciples: Peace be with you. He calls all of us, all of our families, to share that peace with others so that together we will help one another be ‘born again.’

Pray that your loved ones are invigorated by the Holy Spirit, renewed and reborn during this Easter season with a beautiful Hail Mary:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
