Jesus Said "Woman, You are Set Free" Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Love thy Neighbor

A lesson in always treating people well, not just when it works for us.

Today we hear of the woman with a condition that does not allow her to stand upright. We hear of how Jesus heals her on the day when everyone was supposed to be resting, abstaining from work. Jesus replies by pointing out that on this resting day, even animals are cared for, but no one was looking after this woman.

In this action, Jesus revealed what God’s Kingdom is like: God confronts evil and God wins. There are always excuses for us not to help others or be concerned with their well-being. Jesus says otherwise; he says it will set us free.

Have we done anything to assist others lately? How can I seek to care for my brothers and sisters?

We pray for the goodwill to help those in need. May our eyes be opened and no excuse get in the way.
